Dear Scholarship Applicant,
Congratulations on your acceptance into the University of Florida! Your acceptance in itself is a reflection of your commitment to both academic and extracurricular distinction, qualities that the UF Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon values the most.
The Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity created the Balanced Man Scholarship in an attempt to reward young men who lead well-rounded, balanced lives. Sigma Phi Epsilon strongly believes in the development and cultivation of a sound mind, a sound body, and a sound spirit. Modern college men must lead healthy lifestyles, academically, physically, and socially, to meet the increasing demands placed upon them once they leave their collegiate career. Sigma Phi Epsilon wants to assist students to prepare for the rigors of the “real world.” The awarding of this scholarship will be to those who best embody the concept of a Balanced Man.
The deadline for the scholarship is June 18th, 2011. We offer two ways to submit an application, through our website or certified mail. If you choose to submit your application through certified mail, all materials, including a picture and application, must be postmarked by this date. Applications will be available to print from our online website. If you choose to send an application online, it will be available at www.ufsigep.com where you will be able to electronically fill out and submit your application via e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Keep in mind you must have a digital picture on the computer to submit with your application.
Finalists of the 2011 Balanced Man Scholarship will be contacted by June 28th, 2011. The recipients will also be posted on the chapter‟s website, www.ufsigep.com.
